The journey from the taught to the teacher.

Academic subjects he thought were a Bore,
Those tests taken that made the mind sore.
Struggling to pass He'd always asked "why?"
And after each class he thought he might die.

Disgusted daily by Math and Science,
Always wishing to rebel With great defiance.
Wishing to tell off the snooty teacher,
With her snout of a nose like Dragon creature.

Swearing one day he never would be,
Anything close to "as evil" as she,
He promised himself once high school was done,
He'd flee from education, like a river, he'd run.

All the rules and exceptions of composition and grammer,
Crushing his head like Thor's mighty Hammer.
All the frustrating facts that History recoreded,
He always thought "to teach them one must be sorted."

Promising himself he never would own,
A Tyrant Teacher's office chair throne.
He swore to himself beyond high school was fun,
That was the Safe Haven to which he would run.

Despite his childish Dreams of being set free,
Like a slap in the face of Providential Irony,
The aforementioned taught pupil wound up to be,
The one teaching young students, just like he.

Note to reader: When I was a student in school I strongly disliked English and math. Ironically I am now a teacher of both of those subjects. I went from being the disgruntled learner to teaching the very subjects that I disliked learning. I am certainly glad i payed attention. :)
