Foolish girl

by Yakari Gabriel   Nov 18, 2012

Foolish girl,
you barely know him.

you let him touch
you, as if he ever helped
build that temple, as if he
knows its corners, and
its rooms, and the fastest
way to go outside.

why do you do this
to yourself?

I thought you
said you were going
to love yourself in better ways

..but I can see,
by the way you don't
care what your hair looks
like when it dries

that you have
such a long road to go,
and so many more
heartbreaks to face
along the way.

I'm disappointed,
but I don't love
you any less, I just
wish you would
start doing things,

that will make me
love you more.
