Love to hate, hate to love

by Jani   Nov 23, 2012

Eyes of sorrow, eyes of joy, of pity and compassion
But glazed now, eyes of hate, of spite and oppression
As the head is swept away, easiness all but ended
Angriness instead holds sway, maliciously demented
Peace of heart, calm of soul, cut as if by a knife
Wild at heart, turbulent of soul, menace running rife

Embrace they did, an hour ago, their bodies joined
Where hate hid, and now is aglow, of all love atoned
There they blew, each on the other, kisses of passion
Away it all flew, and they at each other, with desperation
Of all that was shared, intimated and sacred, so perfectly sound
To being so scared, intimidated and wasted, wholly run aground
