As she walks away

by TheDarkCloudBehindthePoet   Nov 27, 2012

Slowly she turns, step by step, inch by inch,
Our hands locked in a never ending bond,
Holding on to her for dear life,
She has no idea how much she means to me,

Her smile warms my hearts,
Her touch gives me goosebumps,
Her voice soothes my body and mind,
Her scent sends me into a frenzy,

Every step she takes kills me softly,
When she leaves, a piece of me goes with her,
I barley have anything left,
In time she wil have my entire being,
When that day comes, we wil finally become one,

As she walks away I cry,
I have to endure this feeling every time we meet,
She turns around and looks at me once more,
Whispering these sacred words, "I love you",

She leaves my sight, leaving me in pain,
I walk away with a tear sliding down my face,
A tear of painful joy,
No regrets, she is mine until my dying day,

    I. am. speechless.

Chris, again, your voice is a aching that we all feel and you write those emotions out perfectly.
