The Dream (sonnet)

by Jake   Dec 7, 2012

I cannot believe with my eyes
The beauty of an Angel here,
Softly she starts, to sing at moonrise
To sing me to sleep, I eagerly hear

I fall asleep, so gently I go
And dream of the Angel locked in chains
I ask the Angel, 'why is she so?'
She says, 'I can't quickly explain.'

So I rescue my her, and break the bonds
And tell her it will all be okay
I wake from the dream, which I'm not very fond
And I see the Angel beside me, she didn't fly away

She stayed beside me for forever
Through any all of my life's endeavors
