Angel Eyes

When I look into your eyes
there is a glow that gazes back
as bright as an angel's halo.
My darkness turns into radiant light
filled with hope like that of
a white dove's wings.
For once in my life
my eyes fail to run away
from the contact they so fear.
They keep connection
locked onto yours
and trust it will cause no harm.
Seconds pass by with no words said
but your eyes have already
spoken deeply to my heart.

And in an instant, one tiny instant
my heart feels like it's healed...
