An Angel's Love

I love you more than I could

ever find the words to say.

The way you came into my life

when I needed you the most,

you calmed the storm that raged inside

and planted daises in my heart.

Suddenly when morning came,

the sun seemed even brighter

and my eyes feared not to open.

The bubble of protection you

wrapped around me for forever.

You coloured me in like a rainbow

which scared the monsters away.

A feeling of safety floated

softly through my head,

it was finally safe to love someone....

....and feel someone love me back.

    Truly beautiful. To be a person who cannot trust love to a person who started trusting it is a difficult journey and the way you conveyed it is beautiful.

    This is lovely, Saffie.
    Sometimes, people who've been hurt no longer want to try again, fearing perhaps that history would just repeat itself. I've felt that before as well, and I wouldn't say it's the best feeling.
    I'm glad you wrote this, though. In contrast with your other recent pieces, this one's hopeful and uplifting.
