Storm

by Love Hurts   Dec 20, 2012

Wind tears at my goosebumps flesh, with icy persistence.
I'm thinking of you.
Howling laughter rings in the tormented sky, as a storm rages from within and out.
I wanted to hurt you.
I run on though, snow flakes melting against my freezing cheeks. Rain water soaking through my jeans to lightly caresses my skin with a damp touch.
He forgot me.
His words haunt me, slicing my heart again and again as I replay the scene in my head.
Tears mix in with the rain and snow.
I have no where to go.
Abandoned
My hair flies backward, ripping at my scalp.
Alone
Thunder shakes the earth with rage,
lighting strikes back it's protest.
Hopeless
Clothing plastered to my skin, slowly freezing me.
Lost
But it's not that bad.
On the inside there is no storm like this.
Like the one raging on inside my heart.
