Purple Butterflies Fly

by Cara   Dec 23, 2012

When a butterfly dies,

all we do is mourn,

but deep inside,

there is new life

There's an egg on a leaf,

somewhere hidden, somewhere safe,

and we will find a way

to see what's inside

There's a caterpillar

Somewhere hidden

Inside all of us

and that caterpillar won't remain secret

anymore

Because we are all butterflies

We break free

and fly

Just you and I

Together more,

with each other,

we find more,

than there is too see

We laugh, we cry,

My aunt you're mine

A purple butterfly

I am soft and blue

and you are pretty too

my aunt, you're mine

my purple butterfly.

Sometimes a butterfly dies,

but you and I can see,

there's only you and me

flying through the sky

you and I

Purple butterflies.
