Little Heroine

by Thomas   Jan 2, 2013

The little heroine,
fearless to climb mountains.
Untiringly fencing of the weather
when she works herself a way towards me.
Moved by emotions and desire
as she is.
Desire for those moments
when the mask can come off
and the cape just hangs there.
So she can make herself small
and lay in my arms.
Close her eyes for a bit
and forget the world around.
The moments when I'm her hero
and I make her worries disappear.
A hero for a little heroine.
