Tread Lightly

by Jaymi Lynn   Jan 7, 2013

Tread lightly as a feather
when prepared to disobey.
Stand strong, you brave monument,
as this might be your last day.
One should only seize liberty
if ready for responsibility;
if not, back in line, if so, tread very lightly.
Authority is no coward,
masking itself behind the moon;
no it is there, waiting, with whips and chains for you.
So tread lightly, brave soul,
upon your toes' peak if you must,
for once free you'll never be, again,
part of us.
