These Eyes

by Andrew Packard   Jan 8, 2013

"These Eyes"

These eyes are still tired,
When Daybreak comes.
Crusted over and mired,
Clock radio hums.

Turn over check Google,
The first thing they do.
Fiber optic Perusal,
Social Network What's New?

These eyes wear Shades,
Driving to work.
Gear the Mercedes,
She gives you a smirk.

These eyes Open Wide!
Remembering Last Night,
A secret you hide,
Concealed deep inside.

These eyes fill with Tears,
Recollecting the Blunder.
Heart pounding Fears,
Oh the spell you were under...

These eyes over Lusted,
Brimming Ambivalence.
You know you'll be busted,
The thought makes you wince.

These eyes couldn't help it,
Her Flesh they did Crave.
This sin you Commit,
You'll take to your Grave!
