Nightmares haunts you but dreams comfort you

by NightmaresAndDreams   Jan 9, 2013

Nightmares of demons,
nightmares of death.
When you wake up,
you're out of breath.

But dreams occur,
when you need it the most,
you'll dream about a beautiful rose
or the California coast.

So go ahead and sleep,
get some rest.
Pray for no nightmares,
and hope for the best.

I really loved the brevity in this, it made me stop and think for a moment and had comfort also to not give up hope and to be at ease whenever there is darkness. Good flow and good write, it's true that when nightmares come, it's easy to get scared, but we don't have to be that way forever.

Simple and hopeful. Reminds me of the saying "hope for the best, expect the worse".. or something like that. I've enjoyed reading this!
