Repeating Memory

I won't forget that day
it's forever in my mind
I try to make the memory go away
But it can not be left behind

The memory was branded
imprinted in my head
It left me lost and stranded
this memory must be shed

Why won't it drift yonder
and be lost from my sight
Let me be free to wander
throughout the endless night

But that day keeps repeating
in my mind forever
It must continue this cruel beating
my mind it will sever

So my thoughts we be chained
unable to move about
they will be forever retained
from their cage they can't brake out
