The Summer Haze

by Reyna   Jan 13, 2013

When we met I was only 14. I was tumbling through life. Living in a dream. I didn't know what I was doing, didn't care either. Loved seemed like the perfect answer, not the beginning of destruction. So I picked who to love and loved how I'd seen. Not realizing I was living in a blinding dream. The intimate words we shared stayed upon my heart.
Like the song in your head that's wont depart.

I was foolish then, But the daze that summer left once wore thin. To think someone older than me could love me in the same way I loved him. But it hurt when you both left your marks. When you left, you took two pieces of my heart.

I've gotten older, I'm 16 now. I miss those moments... everything's a little different now, everyone's a little changed, but in the end life has treated me the same
