The Voyeur

by Beautiful Chaos   Jan 14, 2013

I watched the wind blowing leaves across the ground
And I saw my life
People coming, going
From my mind, my sight
Inside my heart
Between my legs
And I wondered how I survived

Sometimes this mind is a terrible thing to nurture
Heart as well
So thick with emotion
This is why I am a poet
A sower of words
To purge my vile, yet innocent thoughts
My air when drowning in life

Next time I hear the wind
See the leaves
They could make me long for freedom
Ponder death
Dream of rebirth
I can never really say for sure
But it always hits somewhere

It's the grand circle of life
Constantly adrift in the abyss
Sinking into one feeling or another
Over examining, underestimating
Analyzing to death
Everything we hate and love
Desire and detest

This is how I survived, survive
How I will always grasp the insane
Or the mundane
How I will deliver my truth
Come to understand myself
Attempt to understand others
It's just who I am

The emotion expressed on this poem is bluntly deep, and yes, sad is all I can feel after reading this. Love itt! -touched-

I am deeply moved, and if there is a way for sadness to speak then this is their song, if it has a face, then this poem is a mirror. Exhilirating, sad yet beautiful. Only a few poems and poets can succeed in such style, in such manner of tone. This is perfectly you.

This poem is beautifully written. I can feel the emotion behind every word and you've reminded me that there Are people out there who can and do understand the pain a person can go through in their everyday lives. It's hard to understand oneself when everything is masked by pain but in time things unfold the way they should. Anyway, keep up the good work. Definitely going on my favorites!
