Black Water

by Baby Rainbow   Jan 15, 2013

I am drowning
deeper and
deeper below
black water.

Drowning beneath
sea level,
plummeting
downwards
towards the
depths of the sea.

Sinking further
and further
below until
I pass the
ocean floor.

I am drowning
deeper and
deeper into
undiscovered
depths.

I am drowning
vastly
in the black
water of the
unknown.

Wow, this is a strong piece. I love the imagery you used, i could litterally see someone struggling to get back to the top. I love it

Funny, even though there was repetition in this piece, each stanza I kept picture someone dive deeper and it was getting blacker and blacker as I got to the end of this. nice imagery with that......

I hate this feeling Saffie, but you know what, sometimes we can't wait for people to save us and we have to kick back to the surface ourself.....even when we feel like we've forgotten how to swim.

    Very nice piece as always.
