The Road Home

by Jason Rainey   Jan 15, 2013

One day your gonna find out, find out
Find out that your never gonna find that road
That road that leads to the road back home.
One day your gonna be alone, alone
Alone on that mountain, alone.
Then some day your gonna realize
Realize that your own your own.
But it's gonna be a downhill stroll
Down from the mountain alone
Easy is as the days gone bye
Easy as days gone by
No room left to roam alone
Roaming, looking for your home.

So, pack it up and sing a song
I'll help you search no matter how long
Life throws curves and lefts and turns
I will help you find your home.

Oh my gosh Jason! I actually hate repetition in poetry, but it keeps growing on me! I loved this!! I loved the repeated words leaving an echo in my ear, reitterating your point...that was awesome....I love the somewhat uplifting ending as well...I thought this was going to be a more in your face type poem when I read the first stanza, then at the end you talk about helping this person....

I also thought it was cool how it had a sing songy ring to it, then you mention this person is should sing a song.....this was a really catchy piece!!
