Barefoot Forgiveness

by Baby Rainbow   Jan 20, 2013

If I walked barefoot for a thousand miles
to show up at your door,
would you forgive me for my mistakes?

If I cried a thousand crimson tear drops
to show you that I'm sorry,
would you believe me when I say
I have finally learned my lesson?

If I dropped down on my knees
and offered to be only yours forever more,
would you welcome me back in
and pick me up off the ground?

Or would you grab me tightly by the throat
and make me suffer more?

Would you remind me that you told me
I would come crawling back at your feet
and beg for your love again?

Would you laugh in my face
because I am weak and you are
stronger than I will ever be?

Would you punish me like I deserve
for walking away from you and believing
I ever had the right to escape?

If I walked barefoot for a thousand miles
and appeared at your door tonight,

would you welcome me back
with a punch from your lips,

or forgive me with a kiss
from your fist?

The ending is twisted ah... But good.
If put in those words I guess the punch from lips will be better than the kiss from fist... O_o

It's a sad piece saffie, when I was reading I could hear the I told you so... And I dislike hearing that for some reason. I guess everyone does. The poem left me wondering what the answer will be.

    @.@!!!

    Well I wasn't expecting that twist :O !!!

A sad stream like flow for the intro...

Then tone and imagery changes in a flash missy...

This one has left me with mixed feelings -_-

    Great write as always <3

Into the favourites with your other tone thrillers @.@!!!
