Newtown Cries

by Gary R Priester   Jan 27, 2013

A young man
Whose mind was lost
Stepped over the line
At Oh what a cost

Teachers and children gone
Hearts are awash
With anguish and grief
We suffer the loss

How can life go on?
It's too high a cost
No words can comfort
Our world is chaos

Love and time
May soften the loss
But the scars on each heart
Can be healed only by God

When I read the title, I seriously thought it said.. newton cries... instead of Newtown... shouldn't it be separate? as New Town cries....

I enjoyed the read, I also agree, only god can healed the heart.

I originally spelled it as two words but the town spells it as one. Thank you for your very kind coments.
