The Curse

by Ares   Jan 29, 2013

A bleeding curse prey on my existence.
It follows and devours in its own twisted fashion.
As I watch the seconds slowly drift by,
I feel its heartbeat stumble, and for only a moment,
It leads me to think that we are victorious.

The silence pounds our dimwitted heads.
With shock and awe it announces its arrival.
"I have no cure, for I keep neither fear nor pain close for company." it whispers and our feeble minds cannot pretend to hope, for there is none.

No hope, no cure, no solution.
No love.

I felt really connected to this poem and able to realte to it. I think you penned it really well by describing to us how trapped you feel by this and how you want to see a way out but you do not think there is one.

The word curse is so powerful and automatically installs the idea of someone else's power, the person who put this curse onto you and therefor we feel only them can undo it.

Powerful write, I enjoyed. Well done.
