Look At Me

by MyHalozChokinMe   Feb 1, 2013

I want to scream from the rooftop, hold
my arms to the air and let them see the
life flowing from my wrists, let them
taste the tears that have rained from
my eyes, night after night, until my
body has gone numb and longs to feel
the pain that justifies the hurt.

I want them to see my bruised heart
and torn soul. I want to shatter
their crystal assumptions.

But I can't.

I can't bring myself to waken their
eyes, to startle their senses, to
make them question all that they
thought they knew.

It's difficult to hate those who
don't know they've hurt you and
even harder to tell them the
secrets you've buried inside.

Some many times we feel that we are being ignored and that no one sees us or the pain that is inside our souls and hearts. We want to shout to the world, I am here, I hurt, I am in pain, See me but cannot find the courage to do so. This was very well written and the message delivered in an understandable way and the reader can feel the emotion and pain in these words. Good job.

Its like caught in a web where you want to die or be the predator and take them all with you but our heart does not allow room for it so we live with the pain...I can understand that feeling. Each stanza has vivid imagery that the reader can feel and see the pain...take care.
