Subsiding Storm

by Daylight Lucidity   Feb 15, 2013

Shadows within her heart begin to fade
As she welcomes the pouring rain with arms agape
The storm subsides from her exhausted eyes
No longer will she listen to their lies
She stands proud amongst the violet clouds
Tears once cascading down her cheeks
Are merely stained on her face as small streaks
Of reminders of her strenuous life in which she was shrouded.
She bears the scars of heartbreaks past
Yet her smile will now last
As her laughter rings strong and true
Over the hills and through the woods
Her soul sings and dances in the depths of the night
While the moon and stars giggle and stare
At the little nymph in their sights
She lives happily and without the slightest care.
As she welcomes the pouring rain with arms agape
The storm subsides from her exhausted eyes
All indications of ailments fade
And from her skies the storm subsides.

Very nice! I love the mystical metaphors and the rhyme in the beginning and the end. Beautiful work! Keep it up!
