A Shine Of Rainbows

by Baby Rainbow   Feb 23, 2013

Down by the rocks on the open sea
I sit upon a wooden log, with the rain
softly falling and a gentle breeze
blowing through my hair.

Waves slowly crashing against the edges
of the tall standing cliffs that tell a story
of travellers passing the land.

Calling out into the whistling wind,
I send messages to the seals who
patiently listen. They catch my whispers
through the echoes of the air and the
ripples in the current.

They blink their eyes then disappear,
swimming onwards into the distance
where the mountains meet the sea.
Where spirits await for the seals
to deliver these messages of love.

Down by the rocks on the open sea
I look above me with surprise
as a shine of rainbows paint the sky.
A tear trickles down and tickles my smile,
knowing my messages have been received.

And my replies shine through the colours
in nature's gift of the beautiful arches in
the sky that forever carries you.
