Serial Succubus

by LostForWords   Feb 24, 2013

Eerie is the night, pale is the moon.
A succubus of souls dwells
Amongst the shadows waiting
for her next spoil along with
patience her colleague of capture.

A man wanders the night lured
by lustful temptation, unknown
that her beauty and charm
would ensnare him. Infected
by her influence, she escorts
him to her sanctuary.

Abduction is her art now
Shielded by her necropolis.
Revealing her true mystique.
She is lavished by his horror,
Lost for all eternity, a father,
a brother, and a lover.

Yes indeed, this is a very dark, mythological, interesting poem though at the end I think you could have explained a little more on the tempted man's background but it still was good.

Oohhhh I love this!!! Excellent choice of words here, you set the scene so dark and eerie right from the get go.

I freaking LOVE the story in this...described so perfect I could just see a man wondering in darkness, getting sucked in by darkness and losing all he ever was by surrendering to her wickedness...

    Awesome write I really enjoyed!
