Wandrelust

by Gary R Priester   Feb 24, 2013

Around the world I've searched and roamed
To places few have ever known

I've seen some things and wondered why
I've seen others that made me cry

I've seen beauty, natures own
What man has built and seeds he's sown

I've tired of travel so long and far
In a crowd I feel unsure

It's time to end this search so long
I must return to house and home

My loved ones wait with armes outstretched
To guide me back to love and rest

When I wrote this I was thinking of family at home. Now that I'm older I read it as life's journey and those waiting on the other side.
