Kiss You

by Beautiful Chaos   Feb 25, 2013

Your lips were like glass
Smooth, cold
A little curious

Shadows danced across your eyes
We sank into the night
A kiss

It felt empty, bare
There was no light
No glimmer of passion

It was there, in plain view
A mountain in hindsight
You were not meant for me

When I walked away
Like a shadow, you followed
Light invading your eyes

I knew, for you
This would hurt
And you would return to the night once again

I agree with Myryn on the pace.. though when I read it out loud, I read it much slower with an intense pacing/reading. Interesting how different it was when reading to myself and reading aloud! I also kind of thought of a vampire, but I do having Breaking Dawn 2 on my mind lol.

What's so noticeable of this piece is its pace probably because of its short lines. It is quite fast but at the same time, it gives the reader the impression of a quick kiss. I like it!
