Saving Grace

by Daylight Lucidity   Mar 4, 2013

Wake me from my dreams
Where I cower in fear, as I look for light,
Amongst the darkness though it seems
A black veil has spread across my eyes each and every night
While I wait for my saving grace
To whisk me away from all my pain
I try and fail to picture her lovely face
In the mesh that covers my eyes again
I reach to the silhouette that looms before me
She steps back just out of reach
A tear falls unwilling as I know I can never be who they want me to be
If I lie in an ocean of devastating secrets...
Might she be the one to lead me to my heaven
Where my saving grace breathes love
Upon the land which all pain will cease to exist
And of her, my saving grace, I'll never get enough...
