My Lovely Reaper

by Daylight Lucidity   Mar 6, 2013

I wait for the moment my love, my beautiful reaper of Death,
To take my life and cradle me in bliss
With every agonizing, flaming, breath
I hear my seconds go by, counting each booming tick
And begging while tears endlessly race down my face
For all of this to finally end
For I can't stand the way I leave this trace
Of depression and bottomless despair with each and every friend
Why does she wait to expel me from this world?
Might she enjoy watching me drown
Amongst every lie saying "I'm fine" that I've ever told...
And hearing them snicker, a belittling sound.
I fall upon my bloodied knees
Wishing for a savior to emerge from my blackened skies
To set me gloriously free
From these heavy, invisible, chains that I keep
But, alas, a dream that shan't ever appear to come true,
And there is nothing else I can do
Other than breathe these fiery breaths
And wait for the moment my love, my beautiful reaper of Death
Comes to save me.
