Goodbye Friend

by Jay Colon   Mar 10, 2013

At the end of my breaking point.
These wounds so severe.
I can't even speak.
Being silence is all I can do.
For I am losing my best friend.
He was the only one who understood me.
I could trust him with my life.
He was there for me.
Day and night.
I was never alone.
We walk the longest roads.
Rain or snow.
We did it all.
Played till dawn.
He loves me unconditionally.
Who would have known.
He was my dog.
Forced to sell.
When he did nothing wrong but lay around and be calm. Console people or made them laugh when they were down.
I have to lose my best friend.
He who kept me sane.
My healer and garden angel.
Lost him for good because the people I called parents have favorites.
For I am The Outsider.
The ugly duckling.
So he is getting the same treatment.
It's wrong.
It's not fair.
For the two people I will love from afar.
I will never forgive you.
I lost him.
Who made me whole.
My best friend.
I'm going to miss you.
Goodbye
I love you
