I Threw My Life Away for You

by Dustin Cole   Mar 27, 2013

I've walked taken
And ran alone
All while thinking of you
I became shaken
This limbo I condone
I threw my life away for you

I opened up my door
Just to let you in
I stuck my hand out for you
I paced back and forth
Waiting for a walk in
I threw my life away for you

You never came to me
Left unsatisfied
I waited to hear from you
Can you really blame me
Lost and tongue tied
I threw my life away for you

This poem gives me the feeling of waiting for someone, maybe an answer or closure or something, and pretty much letting life pass you by while waiting. Throwing your life away for a chance that was never given.

Just what I get from it. Very well-written. (:
