People think I'm different
i act like i don't care
i try to live a lie
and pretend that they're not there
i close my eyes and daydream
but that wont last for long
they don't know how much strength it takes
I'm really not that strong
i crawl into a shadow
a light shines down on me
it taught me a great lesson
on who i want to be
i breathe in deep and whisper
to a voice within my soul
then i realize just how much
of my life that i had stole
i focused all my thoughts on things
that caused my heart to fall
but in the end i guess i know
I'm not that different after all.
