Moments of Peace

by Samuel Ernst   Apr 2, 2013

Our moments of peace, as few as they are, are the moments we must cherish the most in life. Not with attachment to the moment, or desperation to hold onto it, but to simply enjoy. They are passive, enjoy them while they last, and bid them kind farewell has they leave. Do not grasp them and try and force them to stay, because that struggle will destroy that moment. They come as they will, and depart in equal manner,. Wait patiently, not in active search of, but keep an open eye for it. They may only be a second or even two if your lucky, but they are pure and blissful. The moments of peace we experience, as few as they are, are the moments worth living for.

Fourth line should be "as" not "has" sorry and i totally agree with the poem you have to live in the moment "vive en el momento!" that's my motto it's the same thing in english "live in the moment" and you my friend have made my day! :) 5/5

I most definitely agree! Peace can be hard to come by, not only because of everything that goes on in the world but our everyday lives and the how busy they become. If we don't enjoy them, we will never learn to appreciate it. I felt that bit of serenity reading this, you worded it so well. Only thing I noticed, you had a few 'has' in your poem that should be 'as' :) I'm assuming auto-correct did that for you haha. Well done though, I love the expression of thought here.
