Her light

by Jerremy Newsome   Apr 7, 2013

Notice how her light shines, radiant in the night
So envious of she, the moon must contend with this beauty each night
Glowing white skin, stars no longer shine as bright
Vapid discrepancy, apparent in from these cosmic beams
Each step she takes, guided to love, oh it seems
Trails are abundant, and no stone goes silent
Even they speak to her beauty, their lips tremble, so envious and violent
Her hardened composure, yet soft can confuse any
As she steals from their enclosures, granite of sorts, a wall is built, using many
Oh how she laughed as his journey her made to her clear
Knights only travel to such castles, on their quest, guided at night by the white sphere
Sound advice many tried to give, such lunar envy no man can be long be near
After the night and morn, when from darkness the sun was born
Never witnessing the battle that just raged, her beams still feel the scorn
Any endeavor is his to bare, her luminosity shall never compare, and his love to her can not stronger be sworn.
