Running from yesterday

by Issiac A Barnes   Apr 11, 2013

I'm in the dark all alone
Wanting to find my way home
I need to find my place away from this
No longer do I need this Judas kiss
I'm walking far lost in this mist
I'm gazing into this horid abyss
This night air is cold the wind is strong
I hear the silence of all that went wrong
This pain I feel comes with every mile
Just tears of heartache no room to smile
I start to run but the chains are bound
I trip over them all and I hit the ground
I feel the soil as I struggle back to my feet
There is no where to hide as I except defeat
Behind me I can see the eyes of my depression
He's had his plan for my own eradication
I cry out to the moon it lights my path
Then comes the clouds to help plan his wrath
I'm once again blind, no light to show the way
Forced to walk in the darkness of yesterday
