Because the Truth is...

by Keeper of the Gates   Apr 21, 2013

Truth exists in the space of our minds
Relative to what the other could think
It blinds the perceptions of a man
Otherwise set you free as a bird.

Like a breeze coming,
Truth may sting like ice.
It may warm our hearts
Or set fire to burn us into ashes.

An abyss,
A void,
A steep edge,
A spiral stairway into hell.

A voice that calls for retribution,
A justice that it can never behold.
The truth that binds you in chains,
The lie that frees you from pain.
