Sleeping in-sight

by onethuscome   Apr 28, 2013

I hear gentle piano
in the quiet of night
and instantly fathom
what dreams beguile
though no fault their own
they speak from the first
what last is known
(I am the fetter and the release)
but by day's shrill light
that blazen decrease
I am myself and the other misleading
and bend to the weight
of conventional life
