There is a Light, inside of me
Fire that thirsts, burns and
Threatens aplenty to extinguish as in a sea
There is a Love, inside of me
Affection that brings joy, passion and
Takes pride in choking every cell of me
There is a Darkness, inside of me
Ice that can hurt, destroy and
Shames fear if need be
There is a Suffering, inside of me
Pain that tortures, numbs and
Strengthens to steel, emotions it feels have no place in me
But above all, fighting in me
Of all these things, that I choose to see
There is a Hope, inside of me
Longing that warms the heart, feeds the soul and
Makes believe, that the Light and the Love, inside of me
Will soon overcome, all the Darkness and Suffering, the world throws at Me
