The one who only thought

At that moment she was captivated. With just the softest touch, a powerful surge of compassion and holiness overwhelmed her body and brought tears to her eyes. It was then that she surrendered. All the times that she wasn't sure whether she was ready to give herself completely and wholeheartedly to God, were wiped away. She was no longer in control as she put herself in the hands of god.
They kneeled on the floor in prayer. Crowds of hundreds engulfed the stage and a blanket of purity and safety covered them all. The surreal feeling was mutual as everyone felt the hands of God pressing gently on their shoulders. But one certain individual did not feel the supernatural comfort. One did not share the feeling of safety and love. One did nothing but kneel; Staring at the floor, tracing patterns in the carpet, and thinking, nothing but thinking. Behind her lay a male speaking in a language no one but him and his savior could understand. He was speaking to the heavens. While shouting he touched her ankles. He placed his hands softly on her to give her comfort, and she wept. Just as her savior wept, she wept. Then, she surrendered.
That one, that didn't do anything but think, was me.
