A picture frame, and old memory
Twisted roads and mountain streams
I'll just sit in this old empty house
And dream about what used to be
And some say it's only foolish
To think back to those young days
When the world was slow and lovely
And we weren't a world away
And I'll remember you so clearly
With every turning leaf that falls
When the stars shone so brightly
And my safe haven was your arms
So I'll pack up my belongings
I won't need them where I'm going
I'll say goodbye to everyone I used to know
And I'll just go.
And some say it's only foolish
To think back to those young days
When the world was slow and lovely
And we weren't a world away
And I'll remember you so clearly
With every turning leaf that falls
When the stars shone so brightly
They could light up these dark halls
Sometimes I just can't help myself but pray
And wish upon all those stars that you'll come back to me one day
