Borrow Thy Broken Heart

by ChaoticStreamOfLife   May 14, 2013

Allow me to borrow thy burden heart
With it, I will secure every gaping wound.
Not only will I mantle it for eternal armor
But in detail, mend every hollow sore.
I will sustain it within my feminine being
Permitting my blood to pump throughout,
To restore life's scars and timeless grief.
The poignant record that relentlessly reminds,
Will be a lesson learned, no longer pain to linger.
So, sir I say to lend me thy broken heart
And in return I will show you absolute delight.

His shoulders slump to every weaken beat
Aches for a treasured bond with hope to heal.
The heart he carries, never felt at comfort
For his life is none, but at constant fray.
Our country's haughty flag still positions tall
Withholding its pride for his duty of honor
His mother is spoiled by a past of malice.
His Father is forever to remain a grave man.
A man to breathe through such as he,
And maintain with his manly stride
Is the defining essence of a proper Man.
