Blunt

Do you ever feel like giving up?
Like the pencil has no point
and everything is blunt.
When every time you seem to try
you fall harder to the ground.

When you look into the future
but all you can see is the past,
the aftermath of every mistake
and the consequences you've yet to face.

Do you ever feel like your too messed up?
A doll too broken to ever be fixed?
Like every time you stand back up,
you stumble right back down.

Every new mistake you make
will be waiting for you in the future
as the consequences you've yet to face.

And you think to yourself,
"I am so tired of trying,
and I just can't see the point"

    I love the questions throughout this piece, it's thought-provoking and gives the reader something to think about... to examine their own life, their feelings. I found myself nodding to a few of these myself.

    Oh...I can so relate to this...I'm nodding my head ten to the dozen right now...going, yes, yes, yes!! I do!

    You can pen emotion so bluntly...(sorry) but you do...you just get me right in the gut, it's so raw, and I just find your words hitting me.

    It's bleeding fantastic how you can write what so many of us feel...I love the questions, make us think harder, you know...
