In Your Eyes

by TheDarkCloudBehindthePoet   May 21, 2013

Days have passed since I've seen your face, your touch still familiar,
longing to gaze upon your beauty, eyes that of a killer,
a glance traps one soul, a stare traps two,
your eyes like a tsunami trapping me, what am I to do,

Do I swim to get away or be trapped here forever,
the moon is just right, now the waves are getting better,
no need for a life jacket, I can swim on my own,
I can doggy paddle and backstroke, finally I'm not alone,

Searching for the one, who compliments you the best,
thought I'd never survive this storm, now I can rest,
floating in the water, my eyes to the sky,
no worries as I lay, my life passing me by,

Come with me if you want to live, for the rest of your life,
extending my hand to you, that use to be a knife,
on my chest she rest, as we float together,
our journey just beginning, life can't get much better.
