The Last Time... (a conversation with a tear)

by Daylight Lucidity   Jun 5, 2013

Pretty little tear, fall beyond the brim of my eye,
The blue only making you more bitter for my cheek.
Show the world how hard you've tried,
To keep yourself here, even when you screamed.
They used you again, didn't they?
Good for nothing more than a laugh as your heart shatters
Just like it did so many times before when they say
"You're special, you're different, I love you," as if we mattered.
Feel the fire burn hotter, feel the brand on our soul
Little tear, why did you give yourself away?
What happened to the strong, loveless girl I made, that I know?
I miss her. You fall, little tear, for the people who always hurt you and leave you broken.

I love you, cherish you, please don't ever forget.

I'm sorry, my love, I hate to fall from your eye- leaving you would haunt me
No matter the pain they cause, no matter the love we've lost
You are the most precious thing in my life; were I to leave, I'd surely die
Leaving me to cry tears of my own, my own sadness exhausted.
This was the last time, I promise
I will never be a fool and say my heart's desire
I will never again bring upon you that darkness
But, my love, you must know that your heart lies on the ground in unfixable pieces, shattered.

I'll love you even when I finally fall from this beautiful eye.
