Audacity Day

by Andrew Packard   Jun 11, 2013

"Audacity Day"

Tomorrow is August 13th.
God I am so filled with dread,
I am freaking out...
I have been anticipating,
this day for a year now -
Since the last one.

They call it
'Audacity day'

That's what the NAHC
(The New Administration of Hope & Change)
Calls it.

They say it takes
a Village to run a Village.

I guess the meaningless
tautology of it all
is out weighed by
the political correctness of it.

Every August 13
for 24 hours
Since the new administration
took over, All government
activity is shut down
(except National Security)
Even the Dept. of
Law and Order
(The Police) is mute.

The idea is, Only we
Can lift ourselves
into prosperity.
And create for Ourselves
a new World Order,
Government can't do it for us.

A Nobel and
Progressive
Idea Indeed!

The Idea is to build
trust and Love
with your fellow man.

But, no one can be
Prosecuted
for anything they do -
On Audacity Day.

On Audacity Day,
All codes of Ethical Conduct
have also come to be suspended
In fact, every kind of promiscuity
is not only tolerated but encouraged....
Celebrated in the name of
Freedom, abundance, and Liberality.

On Audacity Day,
If you hear a knock on your door
in the middle of the night
The tradition is to let the intruder in
And you are expected to provide
Anything the intruder asks of you -
ANYTHING, it is to your advantage to comply....

Why?
Can't the administration just
Admit; That
Audacity day
Was not what they
Intended to invent?

How?
Do they compartmentalize...
Juggle around in their mind?
Its become like the summer of
Kristallnacht--The Night of The Ruptured Glass.

The maddening Heat
of August only makes,
Things worse On
Audacity Day.

Along the beaches can
be seen wallets and purses
from the increase of muggings &
Rapes. Common to even see a
Corpse; On Audacity Day.

As I peer out my dirty
City window, I can see
the billboard advertising
the event. In a rainbow of bright colors
with stick figures all holding hands
it reads, "Many Colors; One Village"

I know the silence of this night
will be broken at midnight.
The steel grey tears start to
stream down my face, matching
the metal bars that won't protect me

On Audacity Day.....

Amazing poem brother. it is true we as a people have to raise ourselves up and bull ourselves up by our bootstraps. we are on this Earth to help each other and can't do that with a NWO. We don't need that we only need each other.

    On Audacity Day.....

by far this hit me the most. not even the metal bars will protect you, and tears running down your face. i can see that clearly, because other people in different nations go through that daily. even in history like the night of broken glass in germany during ww2 reflects exactly what you are talking about.

    loved your piece Drew :)
