Voice

by Frostburn   Jun 21, 2013

There's a voice, there's a voice, there's a voice In my head and it tells me I'd be better off dead.
I suffer, I suffer, I suffer every day I just wish this agony to go away. Maybe I should just get out of everyone's way?
This world isn't for me
So why should I be,
Here?

Very powerful poem. Even though it's quite short, I feel like the questions we ask ourselves can taunt us the most and be our worst enemies, because it's like we are struggling against ourselves by wondering what our purpose is.

Love your repetition of "the voices" then "I suffer"...it really shows the persistence of these thoughts. Also, how "Here" was left on its own line to be that final word was thought-provoking. We may not know our purpose yet but take each day at a time. I definitely can understand and have done so myself the questioning of my reason to be in this world. What it truly means. But you'll find it. You can make it through the pain.

Take care & keep writing :]
