Just Take Me As I Am

Why work hard when
Everything is just going
To go wrong in the end?

Why try to make things
Better when in the
End you will only find
One more thing wrong?

Why does love have to
Be so strong that even
When things are said like
That I can't find a way
To leave it as is.

I just wish at times
You would stop for
A moment and be
With just me.

Baby just let go of
Everything and give it a
Chance,
Please don't say things
That you know will
Hurt me,
Please just love me for the
Person I am.

I love you so much
I just want us to
Figure out a way to
Handle each others differences.

I know that we can
It just takes work
We have to both be
Willing to fight this together

I would never not take
You for who you are
So just take me as I am.

    This line is a perfect example of what a relationship should be like. Not just 'handling' each others differences, but falling in love with them.

      Thank you that means a lot. When I wrote this I was going through a very difficult time and wasn't sure how I would be able to handle things. I wanted so much for us to be able to handle each other but I learned that when you love someone you want to be with them even with the differences. At the time I didn't know that and now I do. I had a long road in learning.
