Spider and veins

by Samiha Zaman   Jun 26, 2013

Spider and veins
are linked together
tentacles allover
life line
blood flowing
pulse beating
moreover
spin webs
round the nucleus
binds the heart
forever.

This was a very unique piece! I liked how abstract it sounded, and automatically I pictured something being woven together, whether it was frayed or just not composed well before. I saw it metaphorically too and that last line was neat how you wrote "binds the heart forever" - that could mean maybe this person has become whole again because of the threads/intervention of another person in their life.

Short but interesting poem. Keep writing!
