Stone of Heart

by Rey Severs   Jul 8, 2013

The worst day of my life, shalt never pass,
Thy heart of stone, hidden by glass,
Throw stones in opaque houses,to damage thy light,
Surrender, come hither,to bathe in the night.

Rivers and secrets, held in thy frame,
Spill out for the world to share in thy shame,
Screams for thy ears, burning until dusk,
The smell of burned flesh, potent like musk.

I dream of you nightly,I dream through the tears,
Our memories past,to sever for years,
I'd hoped that our path's may cross again,
As lovers,as enemies? No,just as friends.

Tonight I shall dream, like I did back then,
I will hold you close, until the end,
Our path's have crossed,we shall depart,
Body of glass,stone of heart.
