She lost me.

by Love Hurts   Aug 2, 2013

She lost me today,
I ran far away,
Clear pearls slipping silently down her cheeks.
She stares in the mirror, trying to find me.
But all that remains is a hollow shell.
Bottomless spits of despair replace her violet eyes.
I was the light, that lit up those dark eyes.
Now that I'm gone, she can't even pretend to smile.
Full lips etched into a permanent frown,
A soul held captive by the darkness inside.
She's all alone and she doesn't know why.
Cause I was the happiness in her life,
her one true light.
I vanished on the day she shattered inside,
cute after cut.
Her blood dripped free.
She will never find me.
I was the love in her life,
healing her heart.
But she pushed me aside,
and now I'm gone.
But I also took her heart with me.
